The Kunz brothers announce the successful and carefully prepared succession of ownership of Auto Kunz AG . As part of the succession plan, the Gross Garage Group (Küng family) will take over the long-established and successful Swiss family business retroactively as of January 1, 2026 .
Auto Kunz AG will continue to be runas an independent company.Its name, location, market presence, and business model will remain unchanged. Operational management will also remain in the hands ofCEO Adrian Büchlerand the existing management team. This ensures continuity for employees, customers, and business partners. The successful strategy of offering the lowest prices in Switzerland and a range of over 500 vehicles of all brands will be consistently continued.No job cuts are planned.
There will be an orderly handover on the Board of Directors:Roger Küngwill take over as Chairman and Chantale Küng will become a new member of the Board of Directors.Roger Kunzwill remain with the company as a member of the Board of Directors, as willMaria Martinez.René andKathia Kunzare stepping down from the Board of Directors.
JAC Switzerland AG, basedin Wohlen, remains in the ownership of the Kunz family. The close cooperation with Auto Kunz AG will continue. JAC also remains the landlord of the Auto Kunz AG business premises. Roger Kunz is and remains the elected president ofthe Association of Independent Car Dealers in Switzerland (VFAS).
