The fast-charging function (CCS) costs CHF 1000 extra. Otherwise there are no surcharges: It goes without saying that the JAC e-JS1 is fully equipped.
Affordable mobility can also be electric. The JAC e-JS1 demonstrates this from just 16,989 francs.

-An electric drive makes sense for a small car in particular. After all, these small cars are often driven in urban areas. There, they usually only drive short distances and are often parked for long periods of time. The usual reservations against e-cars - range and charging time - therefore play no role at all in many applications. However, there is still one point that often speaks against electric drive in small cars: the costs.
Thanks to low-maintenance technology, outstanding efficiency and low energy prices, the operating and maintenance costs of electric vehicles are unrivaled. But this only pays off over time. The first obstacle is the purchase price. This is usually higher for electric models than for gasoline models. This is an important point, especially for inexpensive small cars, where the price often plays a decisive role in the purchase.
Until now. Because the Chinese manufacturer JAC has tackled precisely this problem. The JAC e-JS1 is now coming to Switzerland as the answer to the question of an affordable, small electric car. JAC is one of the leading Chinese suppliers of electric cars and has already acquired a great deal of expertise in this field. This has also met with recognition in Europe: the VW Group holds a 75% share in a joint venture with JAC.
The e-JS1 is the brand's new entry-level model and is also available in Switzerland thanks to a number of importers, such as Lack Autotechnik GmbH in Gunzgen. At just 3.65 meters long and 1.67 meters wide, the JAC is extremely compact and fits into any parking space without circling. This is a real advantage, especially in the city and in narrow parking garages. Nevertheless, it offers space for five people and a trunk that can also cope with a large week's shopping. It is therefore ideally equipped for everyday use in the city and conurbation. Even when it comes to range.
In the WLTP measurement cycle, up to 330 kilometers are possible in "long-range" mode. This is easily enough for everyday use - on average, 30 kilometers per person per day are covered in a car in Switzerland. However, if the battery runs low on the road, the e-JS1 can also be equipped with an optional quick-charging function. This recharges the battery from 30 to 80% in just 30 minutes.
The small car also comes with everything it needs for everyday use as standard: a touchscreen system that integrates the smartphone via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, parking sensors and reversing camera as well as ESP and ABS.
Cruise control and hands-free kit are included, as is air conditioning. In short: nothing is missing. Not even in performance: 61 hp meets less than 1.2 tons unladen weight. JAC offers all this from just 16,989 francs. (vred)
