Nico Martinez, the brand's new CEO, will to support

On September 1, 2026, Nico Martinez will succeed Adrian Büchler, who, after serving as co-CEO for several years, will now focus 100% on leading Auto Kunz AG. The existing management team will remain in place, and Jörg Appenzeller will continue to help shape the company as technical director. The current Chief Financial Officer, Kevin Baumann, will be promoted to Deputy CEO effective October 1, 2026, and will continue to provide his valuable services to JAC. The entire JAC team thanks Adrian Büchler for his invaluable contribution to the brand’s highly successful growth. Adrian Büchler will work alongside Nico Martinez until the end of December 2026 to ensure a seamless transition.

Nico Martinez has extensive leadership experience across various industries. His career path took him from an operational management role in the B2B sector to the automotive industry, where, as Head of Processes and Digitalization at a major vehicle importer, he played a key role in further developing internal structures and processes. He is a family man and holds the rank of captain in the military. He lives in Wettingen and also has regional ties to the company. “With Nico Martinez, we are gaining an experienced leader who will now consistently carry out our growth strategy on a full-time basis,” says outgoing CEO Adrian Büchler.“We will continue to expand our dealer network, further increase our fleet share, and drive digitalization forward; we want dealers who can earn money with our products without significant restrictions. “We’ve already delivered over 2,800 vehicles to satisfied customers, and we’re continuing to grow rapidly,” says Roger Kunz, Chairman of the Board of Directors. “To support our continued growth and ensure we keep providing top-notch service to our customers, this expansion was necessary,” Roger Kunz adds.

In this regard, the aftersales service is likely the benchmark among competitors. JAC Motors has been manufacturing vehicles and selling them worldwide since 1964. The company has been exporting to Europe since 2019. The VW Group holds a 75% stake in the joint venture with JAC.* In Switzerland, the brand is causing quite a stir among customers and competitors, as all its cars are offered at some of the lowest prices in the country. According to JAC Schweiz AG, all vehicles are typically 30% cheaper than those of competitors. No wonder they’re expanding their workforce.

JAC has been on the Swiss market since 2019

As the first importer of passenger cars from China, JAC Schweiz AG has the most experience in Switzerland. From the very beginning, a high-quality after-sales service network was established in partnership with the Hostettler Autotechnik Group. Hostettler handles spare parts, dealer training, and warranty claims.

The JAC brand has a long history: Since its founding in 1964, JAC Motors has evolved into a global technology company that produces over 1.4 million vehicles annually. With more than 33,000 employees and a clear focus on electric mobility, JAC is now one of the leading manufacturers in the field of alternative powertrains.

*Volkswagen AG holds 75% of the joint venture "Volkswagen (Anhui) Automotive Company Limited" with JAC via Volkswagen (China) Investment Co. LTD.
