Aargau car importer wins the hearts of the Chinese

JAC Motors is one of the largest vehicle manufacturers in China and presented two brand new models at the Shanghai Motor Show. A delegation from JAC Schweiz AG from Wohlen (AG), the local importer, was also present.

The delegation from Aargau was invited to the model launch at the Motor Show in Shanghai and to the global dealer conference at JAC Motors in Hefei. The best country representatives worldwide were honored there, and Switzerland won two awards. JAC's general importer in Switzerland is based in Wohlen AG and is managed by Jörg Appenzeller and Kevin Baumann. After-sales - spare parts procurement and distribution to the 22 dealers - is handled by Hostettler Autotechnik AG under the management of Marcel Stocker. At the dealer conference, a preview of the upcoming model highlights was given and the best dealers of the past year were honored: Kevin Baumann and Jörg Appenzeller each received an award for their special efforts in the areas of branding and technical support.

A lot of attention at the Shanghai Motor Show
The figures for 2024 were also presented at the dealer conference: JAC Motors exported almost 400,000 vehicles to around 130 countries. In 2024, 200 vehicles were already exported to Switzerland - from all-electric small SUVs to combustion pick-ups. With a strong upward trend.
Two days later, at the Shanghai Motor Show, the Swiss were able to catch a live glimpse of the models that will hopefully be on European roads from 2027: The focus was on two concept vehicles based on the DEFINE platform as well as the unveiling of the first model of the new luxury brand MAEXTRO: the MAEXTRO S800. The Refine RF8 and the T9 PHEV, a plug-in hybrid pick-up that will soon be available in Switzerland, were also presented. The DEFINE-X, a luxury SUV (see image) with highly intelligent functions and camping suitability, could be well suited to the Swiss market.
